I'd extend this to regular vacations too. I've worked a lot in both Europe and the USA. In Europe everyone had to know other people's knowledge as people were regularly out of the office. In the US it was easier to rely on so

Most people here don't like having a MS account, but is it really so terrible? When I log in each day I'll use my AWS account, 2 or 3 google accounts, Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, Slack. You can't use a phone or a tablet withou

Cloud is a poor metaphor now. Its really a messy bunch of constellations where some people think they can see a pretty picture, most people just see random dots.

Not luxury apartments. Projects. In the 50s and 60s NYC built loads of massive housing projects for the poorest people on welfare. This is something that is needed in California. Most of the homeless can't afford fancy new builds, the

Does anyone know of a 2G/3G cell network in the US? Its would be cheaper and I know I avoid my phone a lot when it reverts to 3G when I run out of 4G data. I still want email, uber etc though.

Eiffel was always great, the biggest problem as I remember it was that the compiler was very expensive, like a few thousand dollars a license. Meanwhile C++ was much cheaper (and easy to pirate) and Java was free. You can see the resulting
