I was a senior at TJ in 2020/21. You’re wrong, even though your reasoning should be right.

TJ didn't change because of the blue 2018 Virginia. it was a concerted effort by a small group of administrators at FCPS, and an even smaller group of 'anti-racist' students at TJ themselves.

Eh I’d say you’re looking at the wrong culprit. More likely than not, the average person who mindlessly spends time on their phone. Next time you take public transportation, look around you to see what people do when bored - nearly everyone

Thanks for the advice. Pretty much exactly what I’m trying to do. To be quite honest, I don’t do more than 1h of leetcode per week - been trying to spend much more time working on a startup with a friend. But even that is so hard. After a 1

This rings so true for me. Doing an 8-hour a day internship for the first time this summer (college freshman), and even with it being remote and at home, I struggle to find the time to balance 2h at the gym, meals, walks w/ family/

Piggybacking off of this comment, I’d be very curious to know the HN sentiment on piracy as a whole Net good, net bad, somewhere in between?

To confirm, this is your home that you built for a bit more than 50k? Incredibly nice for that price if you own it. Congrats.

I’m a college student @ an Ivy League school, and I keep hearing about how easy it is to take advantage of the name for VC money. I really don’t get how. Are there any actionable steps you could point me towards, other than getting involved

Not OP - I use it non-stop for boiler plate filling as well. I wouldn't use it for anything other than that, so I would say it's worth honestly at max $1/month.

Any guidance on the SEC link? Robinhood is currently royally boning me in the exact same way, and I want to get my money out as soon as possible. I already threatened to get the SEC involved a week ago, and still no response, so now time to

Search is objectively worse today than it used to be, it's not just that "it's harder to use for old people", it's just worse.

Not really honestly. I’m gonna make a honest guess and say no one really thought that, if you didn’t know what that trial was at that time, you genuinely had to have been living under a rock.

Average 4-year private school would cost 200k, if not more if you're going to any private T100. Average person in this community also wouldn't go to CC.

How much do you earn? Sorry if it’s rude, I’m genuinely just curious, I figured you’d make enough as a data analyst in any decent-COL living city to be fine

You guys are all being absurdly ridiculous. I don't know why programmers make such reaches when the answer is much simpler. University student looking for easy side project to create and put on resume decides to go with "inclusive

Without legacy and the prestige and the entire shebang of old English style college, the Ivy Leagues aren't the Ivy League. I agree with you that eliminating legacy would solve the issue of making the school different - it's never
