I don't understand how it makes sense to make these decisions one-sided. I have no opinion if demolition is right or not, but should it not make sense to also in the same bill fund a project to replace the lost power? Same goes for the

If I get something in a restaurant (in EU) that has "truffles" in it the taste is exactly like described in the article. Kind of gross and very pungent. I don't exactly go to high end restaurants often.

The vast majority of open source done in peoples free time is unfinished and at best of limited use. The serious projects very often have payed developers. The good ones done by unpaid developers have some pressure in terms of expectations

It is more public now but Elon has always operated this way. A book about paypal: The Founders, describes their constant war to survive and he obviously thrives in that environment. Which is why the Elon Twitter doomsayers are not likely to

70%-80% electrolysis efficiency is unbelievably terrible? There are many factors such as cost, time to market and availability. Batteries require lots of mining of materials and have a limited lifespan.

Sure but how many of these locations are there? You don't just need a hill, you need large amounts of water available. Not to mention the construction is definitely not cheap or fast. I mean there is a shit ton of land available in say

Efficiency is not the only factor. There is also cost and availability. You can't build pumped hydro just anywhere. I have no idea what the cost is compared to lithium batteries though.

Cars require a large infrastructure to be in place. EVs use the power grid. Much faster and cost efficient to build large Solar+hydrogen power plants and drive EVs.

What this article does not address is however the solar problem of producing too much in the summer and too little in the winter. Using the solar energy from summer to produce hydrogen to use in the winter or at night sounds like a complete

Both. It follows it observably and the reason it does is because with low interest rates there is an excess of capital. Money is too cheap so it flows into speculative asset classes like stocks and crypto.

Crypto very much follows the stock market. Interest rates are inversely correlated to stock market performance. After 2008 the stock market went into the longest bull run in history which has now reversed this year. Stock market is down and
