Kind of annoying -- I understand people are crazy for SEO, but not linking back to twitter directly to view the stream is not the behavior I care for.

If you told me up front you were going to keep the photos around for a little bit then take them down, that's all good. I don't begrudge you, your company, Kodak, or any other company for having a profit motive. It makes the world go round.

Surprised that nobody has mentioned replication. MySQL replication is a known quantity. PostgreSQL has it, but they're third party and less proven/battle-hardened.

This seems like a colossal waste of valuable SEO linkjuice. Good lord! Would it be so hard to do a proper redirect showing the redesigned pages / branding?

As far as I can tell, Dropbox has actually solved the desktop file-sync problem. It's the first sync product of its kind that I've used that works out-of-box. Yes, sync is hard. Where I think things fail is mainly around user experience. Yo

Would love for you to use Posterous for this, and would love to chat with you offline about how it works out for your team and how we can get better. My contact info is in my profile. =)

For a brand that's gaining momentum, getting coverage is a bit easier. You might already follow the writers on twitter or vice versa, or if you're in SF/the valley you might even grab coffee with them. For a company starting out, you need t

It's something we talked about even back during last summer when we first launched Posterous. It's great to finally be able to put it out there. Once we launched group blogs though -- we did start hearing a lot of requests for this feature

The one way to stay a programmer and avoid the tyranny of being 'managed' by a manager is to create a startup for oneself. Sure, you have to do more than just code -- but you can still code on your own terms, and it feels awesome to code fo

This just shows how attention is and continues to be the scarcest commodity in an information glut world. Maybe eyeballs mean something after all... but only if you hook it up to a way to monetize, whether its Acai Berry / daily SMS horosco

My cofounder spent 6 years at Apple-- they do it by just doing it with fewer people. It's astonishing how much work gets done with such small teams.

Wow, talk about drinking massive hater-ade against Google engineers. I think this is little more than a poorly reasoned diatribe / ad-hominem attack against the perceived Googleplex. Come on now -- Google has smart engineers who get design.

Equity is for life. It's a bum deal to trade equity in your company for a small amount of cash, unless whoever you're selling to is a real value-add investor or advisor who can contribute more than money for the LIFE of your company, not 6
