It's amazing how HN always has something bad to say. This laptop is under my Christmas tree. It has a i7 11800h and the lowest option nvidia I could find (I would have gone for Intel + amd but I couldn't find it). That cpu is a be

You're saying it's not true, but do you have another example of a quick and cheap way to do this ? I'm not saying this can be done in 1 day for 2 cents, I'm saying that it's quick and cheap compared to other options

You can either pay a dedicated team to manage your on prem solution, go multi cloud, or simply go multi region on aws. My company was not affected by this outage because we are multi region. Cheapest and quickest option if you want to have

I know this is missing the point a bit but, if people had multi region enabled for their services, they would not have been impacted. So the issue here was part aws centralization, part services not being ready for failure. My company uses

I've never tried flutter, but from what I've seen it's pretty amazing. If your wanna learn something just for mobile development, I'd recommend flutter (even if I've never tried it before). But if you want more than

I wish you had a tldr of why semantic release is not enough. Imo, semantic release works perfectly well except when people don't follow the guidelines. Same thing applies to the versioning schema described here, it will work as long as

So this is anonaddy but with unlimited replies? Pretty cool! I just signed up for purelymail recently, I wish I had heard of this sooner, but it's better than never. Is there any way to create aliases on the fly? Something like creatin

Password requirement: Must have enough entropy. Day 27, I'm still trying to type a password and it keeps telling me my password has low entropy and no apparent way to fix it.

I just got a new laptop from tuxedo Computers because they had an i7 11800h option. Their laptops aren't modular but right now I'm valuing performance over modularity, maybe in the future my next laptop will be a framework one, ho
