You are probably correct. But you know, dev. tools are like IDEs/Editors. Once you get settled with one, there is a level of comfort with the tool, you dont get with others.

When a weekend app is touted as "next billion dollor startup", you know you are in a bubble. Dont get me wrong, I like gumroad's idea and even the implementation, but extraordinary claims requires extraordinary evidence, and I see none yet

I use firebug to trace the HTTP requests, mainly. I know there are alternatives (for both Chrome and Firefox), but none of them compare to firebug. May be its because of my comfort/acquaintance level with firebug.

Unfortunately, for me its a catch22 situation. I hate firefox because its slow, and love/depend on firefox, because of firebug (which apparently makes firefox slow.)

Seriously, You dont even need a security attack for losing the changes with this model. A nice little "harddisk" failure would do the trick for you. :)

Because when the company has to man up, and tell the reason of the Fuck up to the stakeholders, the should not be pointing fingers to a person who was not even on their payroll. It was someone's job to avoid this from happening, or they do
