Funny, that "if one created, two removed" was a law imposed by a Principal Software Architect to me and my team regarding apps and apis as part of a rationalization program. "If you create this new API, make sure to remove at

So are you recommending to invest savings on stocks and bonds rather than a house? I mean, I wont argue / refute you reasoning, I just simply dont have the knowledge to do a proper analysis. Ill just say that my 78 years old parents, t

Hey, Im a Javascript developer and my experience es far from 'miserable'. Anyway, I see your point, and makes sense. I think node and npm helped a lot to actually achieve the flow you mention ("install dev tools, start a new

Isnt something like a Windows Insider program for hardware and software companies to early test their products prior to general release? This seems like the result of lack of basic QA, both on Microsoft and third parties.

Honest question here: Why tech community is so hard with Windows mandatory updates, and kind of flexible with other companies? Maybe its just me, but the ratio of posts and articles blaming Microsoft for this practice seems to be disproport

Massive Backtrack seems quite a hyperbole. I would just say adjusting to the new reality, where still millions of users are using W7 and this hardware, and let them without, at least, security updates, seems like a horrible plan.

I think you nailed it. Oculus is order to not become a niche product needs to be sold as part of a console bundle. That would make premium VR to a one pressed button distance. Maybe Project Scorpio + Oculus? Scorpio specs seems to be enough

'Closer to irrelevant' is a bold statement to say. Windows is strong, not as strong as in the 90's where it was the only consumer oriented OS, but is far, far away from being 'irrelevant'.

Android has reached a level of maturity that makes comparison with Apple ecosystem neglectable nowadays; simply its no longer a selling point compared to previous years. Also, high end Android phones were able to introduce new technologies

No private organization has committed crimes comparable to the ones committed by authoritarian governments. I could mention USSRs pogroms, concentration camps on Germany or summary executions in Cuba, to name a few.

I was referring socialism as a society where state does not allow private property (at least to a major extent), and violates individual human rights in favor of collective ones.

I cant recall a single example of a functional democracy in a socialist government. Seems to be mutually exclusive outputs.

Governments are the more dangerous, objectively speaking. All of them have the monopoly of army and public forces. Not a single corporation in the world could be equally dangerous just based on this.

I dont see mandatory updates as a bad thing per se. I think ideally it would be a way to allow users that wants to use older versions to pay a fee to do that (Basically to cover the maintenance service due to keep patching legacy versions).
