I can definitely do that. As of 2 hours after the post, we've had a good number of referrals and 3 applicants. Jobvite's system does a good job of storing lots of interesting data, so hopefully I can share metrics in a follow-up. That might

I like much of the advice, but the style and presentation of the message is, like so many things I've seen associated with Facebook, lacking any sense of humility. There's no "we did this because it worked for us and we're sharing in hopes

We put it in our terms of service (and many companies that do signups over the web do, too). For big companies with strict privacy, they'll get in touch or let you know if they don't want you using it. That said, my strong preference is to

That certainly wasn't my intent - I was just brainstorming a list of ways one might fix the shortfall of math/science/engineering professionals. Salaries: Maybe we're still low, but looking at http://gigaom.com/2010/11/10/stat-shot-the-res

Good recommendation - I'm going to link to that from the post as a corollary to the list from a technical/development perspective (vs. marketing/metrics focus).

I never met or knew Luke or the team at Nerdery, but all the same, I'm glad you posted this. It's a very sad thing to lose a member of our community, particularly one so accomplished and beloved. My thoughts are with you all.
