That goes both ways. I wonder if you would come back to this comment when one of your held beliefs are disproven. I won’t derail this thread into what it might be, but I won’t hold my breath…

You're grasping at straws, but if it makes you feel good, whatever. Like I pointed out multiple times, there was absolutely 0 useful commentary on this post and is useless for HN discourse.

That’s cool and all but there are a hundred different forums to share and raise awareness of this. I don’t see what is remotely “hacker” related here. Like I said the comments are predictably filled with low quality flamebait/ideologic

How does one know one has a healthy gut? Is it possible to have the wrong gut micro biome but not have any gastrointestinal symptoms?

Also note that one of the founders of this organization has called for “dismantling” Hinduism and to ban festivals like Holi. How anyone takes this report or the organization behind it seriously is beyond me…

Exactly, but note how everyone associates the word “caste” with “Hindu” or “india”. Makes the problem worse and nothing good can come out of it.

The report from Equality Labs is, pardon my French: garbage. Here’s a somewhat more balanced take https://carnegieendowment.org/2021/06/09/social-realities-of... and here’s an article highlighting what’s wron

I personally don’t mind any amount of criticism and scrutiny if it means an end to the evil scourge that is casteism. However what I do mind is when this criticism is mixed with religion and culture bashing (in this case Hinduism) by ill-in

I can't find any details (at least in TFA), what exactly was this joke? I would not trust a private company's judgement on what is "offensive", given the innumerable instances of them proving incapable of accurate judgem

I’m sorry but this is a bunch of crock and honestly sounds like just a lot more speculation adding nothing to the conversation.

Great and if it makes you comfortable by all means keep masking. Just keep folks who do find it annoying and dehumanizing out of it. Thanks.

Masks are unlikely to have protected you much unless it’s a tight fitting n95 mask worn around the clock. This topic has been beaten to death on here, not sure why people continue to cling on to masks as anything other than security theater

Incompetent? Most likely. Again I don’t see any convincing argument for why it’s “weird” or “suspicious” in the usual meaning of those words in the English dictionary. It’s fine to throw out a word salad if that’s your communication style,

What is “weird” or “suspicious “ about these? Please be specific, not just parroting something off a news article you’ve read. I’m interested to hear how much you’ve actually understood the motivations for these actions (the ultimate result

This exactly. I recently came across a tweet explaining how Merkle trees in some new crypto would make it better or something. If with a CS degree I find it hard to understand what this remotely has to do with my money, I don't think m

Umm taxes are a by-product of laws which in most cases come about by representative democracy. Not some 1500 year old book written by some randos, which happens to be set in stone.
