sorry for the comparison! I was trying to highlight that risk levels are individual, not to say that one’s risk from Covid is that of being caught in a volcano. Blanket numbers (5 million have died) are almost useless when trying to assess

Can you quantify OPs risk from omicron? Saying “it’s the best we have” is technically true but intellectually dishonest. Volcano insurance is also the “best we have” to protect vs volcanic activity and many people don’t have it.

That’s why I mentioned lives and cultures in Africa. African immigrant lives in x city are gonna be different than in Africa.

Are you saying Africans and (black, which I assume you mean but I’m trying to be charitable) people in your city are basically the same? I imagine the lives and cultures in Africa are vastly different than whatever city you’re in.

That’s weird - I had to go off weed during a highly stressful period of my life. It temporarily made me forget about how stressful things were but then it all came crashing back after it wore off. I didn’t have time to process the stress so

Pass a law that requires companies to pay black market value for bug bounties. It’s also unethical for big corporations to exploit the US oligarchy to get these fixes for free.

This is great in theory if each individual has the ability to arrive at the same conclusion as the “debunkers”. They don’t, so they fallback to trust, and that’s when it all breaks down. The most important thing to combat misinformation is

On a higher level the issue is not one sided and focusing solely on one side is what the CRT brouhaha is all about. It’s an ideology not an attempt at portraying reality. There is no human group in history that holds the moral high ground.

Anything democratic devolves to oligarchy. A monarchy with an effective ruler selection process is probably best. There’s a reason most successful companies have a single CEO with absolute power - and they degrade once this is no longer tru

How do you reconcile this with the human race existing for so long? I guess you could make the argument global travel has changed things, but I’m not sure.

It's shutting out a tiny elderly subset for the benefit of all vs shutting down all for the benefit of a tiny elderly subset. I'm not saying one is better than the other, but your ethical concern should be 2 sided.

You should focus on handling specific occurrences of racism as opposed to looking at a high level numbers and drawing conclusions from them. The latter is subjective and can be abused endlessly.

What’s the correct wealth for white and black families? If you say “I don’t know, but it needs to be closer” that’s just in group preference - which is fine, but don’t present that statistic as evidence of anything but a disparity. You need
