I wonder why this was not the case since the beginning. Open sourcing parts that in other languages have always been open source (Rust) is still something to praise but not a world shattering event.

My battery severely degraded without the cycles. I had 150 cycles after 4 years with 78% capacity. I am now at 239 cycles at 64% capacity.

Correct. Police prefer people drunk cycling than drunk in the car.

Honestly I am not sure. We were using the LuaJIT interpreter because JIT is not allowed on consoles or phones.

It is interesting how this would apply for custom browser engines in the future of iOS.

We were using LuaJit which is a whole other beast.

It also not reasonable because a lot of countries, also in europe, do not have RCS support on their networks. Or the right version of RCS.

That’s great :) I do think it has its place. We ran >200k lines of Lua for a 3d game at >60fps. We could not do allocations on the hotpath, or we would run out of our frame budget (which was around 1ms). Games are very hard to auto-te

I’ve worked in a large Lua codebase, and its lack of any types gets very cumbersome. It is also non-trivial to get the full performance and by doing so lose some of the nicer features. For example, creating tables causes an allocation which

I do not know. I only state what the original author posted. Maybe someone is willing to create a Stripe account and trigger a block to test it. Edit: another thread 3 years ago mentions the same: “I tried to contact support by chat or phon

Maybe apple can allow other browsers as long as they don’t use JITs. Would that satisfy you?

They wanted a signed ToS because it is only ‘source available’. Maybe GitHub just was not the best way to make a large readonky non-open source codebase available

60 containers sounds like an architecture problem, not a Kubernetes problem. Kubernetes does not stop you from running 1 container in 1 pod receiving ingress and talking to a database.

I wonder this too. The examples I see seem to work best with a dynamically typed language. Is there an example on how this API would work for statically typed languages? Or even languages that don’t like Nulls like Rust or Swift (making eve

What I found, and I may have been wrong, is that there is a lot of Java work but if you look deeper it is hardcore Java EE with all thise 200 levels of Java that a lot of folks fear. And so do I. Even jobs that had Spring Boot asked for the

This is some cool work. Could you elaborate more on the algorithm used? How do you go from height map to near-real-time shadows given time of day/year? Is it all through raycasting or a faster technique?
