I see plenty games on the Epic Game store that are the same consumer price as on Steam; only the developer pockets the difference.

Facebook might not be the best example of course, but I shudder when thinking about apps I truly need… WhatsApp in Europe is 90% of friend communication. Banking apps and other 2fa apps are required to do any banking.

This is false. Up until now, iCloud photos are encrypted in transit and in store but can be decrypted with Apples own key. There is no e2ee. Apple has been talking a lot about putting all ML and data handling on your own device so that the

Maybe they want to turn iCloud fully e2e, so cannot actually scan anymore on their servers. They have to scan for CSAM by US law.

I was thinking, what if they want to move their icloud photos to e2e without losing the csam scanning they already have. So they move it on-device, just for photos that would be uploaded to iCloud (which is what Apple claims) I really just

When a company rents out equipment, the longer the equipment is usable, the more rent can be earned on it. So there is an incentive to have durable products when the income is on a subscription basis.

Is there a specific reason there are only Android apps in the repository? Is there a restriction in iOS that makes this app not portable, or were researchers only known with the Android ecosystem?
