If you used to be on SSRIs and they worked, then LSD doesn't sound like a good match. I regret not taking psychedelics, but I hallucinated from a large dosage of hashish and had visual disturbances for a couple of days after, so I figu

You could be right, in 2008 we handled about 10^5 complaints per day, and the volume seemed to double every year(most of those were automated complaints from external systems complaining about our customers spamming/phishing/etc),

I'm not familiar with osTicket, is your point that osTicket could have been used instead of custom-made software in 2006 or that I'm overglorifying the system I worked on?

Also, "idiots" can understand other "idiots" better, thus being able to make money. Making money is not a function of pure "intelect", but being able to predict what others need and being able to meet those nee

The problem never was repossessing debt. Fiat money, unlike gold, is all about direct resource allocation. Pouring trillions in bad corpoarate debt is just as bad as pouring trillions in inflating the housing market -- resources are poorl

By no means trying to be racist or dismiss the natives, but the geography of North America surely did not change since white man came. Which clearly shows culture is probably just as important as geography.

A friend of a friend got released from the hospital, she had covid-19 and was searching for an oxygen concentrator for her (permanent?) lung damage. She's 29 and otherwise healthy. I'm sure we would have noticed this disease witho

I've read a couple and her books are amazingly good. I especially liked Head First Design Patterns -- I've read 4-5 books on the subject, but the Head First examples are the ones that have stuck with me after all these years. Her

Isn't it a common known fact that while average IQ is the same for males and females, male IQ varies more and hence there are more male idiots as well as more male geniuses? I'm sure you can google the IQ variance stuff. I'm

Yeah, but have you ever taken a final test, finish it early, go to the front desk, return to proof read it, place the paper in your back pack and just walk out, without submitting your test?

But in Sweden vs Norway, we are talking about 4x the case numbers adjusted for population, and a few hundred dead. The data might turn much worse, but right now I don't think it's bad for Sweden.

I'm starting to doubt this. What about Sweden vs Norway -- sure, the data is 4X worse for Sweden, but we are only talking thousands of infections and hundreds of deaths. Maybe this can't scale to bigger countries though.

Sweden is quite different as a society and societal habits than the rest of the world, I don't think we can apply much of what they are doing to India or Iran, perhaps it's applicable to Norway or Finland.
