Hiding the element doesn't work in more than half the cases. Some plug-ins randomize the modal ids. Others hide the page scollbar unless you interact with the modal.

When did they post this? Is it old? It mentions OS 10.7, so I'd guess it's been in place for a few years now.

The WP article title is "David Gelernter, fiercely anti-intellectual computer scientist, is being eyed for Trump’s science adviser." Your WE article says "Gelernter is also a fierce critic of academia." Gelernter is self

Twitter is very useful for professional announcements in a very informal setting. I use Twitter to follow colleagues and artists, not friends nor celebrities. I think there's something TV-ish that's possible, but Netflix level? Th

I think this is what we all want, but I'm skeptical developers will return when it's implemented. Maybe if they focused on young devs? Give them an alternative to Snapchat?

Only the "current" Mac Mini has upgrade restrictions. But the prior model has almost identical specs and can be upgraded.

They should add an exception or * for Ghostbusters. It was filmed in 2D but the IMAX version had 3D elements extending out of the cinematic letterbox. http://www.polygon.com/2016/7/15/12200134/ghostbuster

3D Blu-ray on a decent TV (i.e. Samsung plasma) is far and above better than any theater. It got me buying 3D blu-ray discs (instead of doing streaming). I've done 3D movie nights at my house with friends. Of course there's that o

Ugh - did anyone take a look at his portfolio? He designs for video games so of course the specs are exaggerated. He did something fun and most of HN is railing on him. The same criticisms ought to be said here - if you're going to cri

It's pretty clear you and he are at opposite ends of the design spectrum. He's an experienced conceptual designer perfect for video games, i.e. Art Center. You're more academic and instructional, i.e. MIT. Both are legit. PS

It's not really a theory, though. These are all well known facts, which is why there's already buzzwords for them (i.e. the ones you were using). A good tech blog post would show how you're unique, how you're innovating,

The most successful solution I found was Carb Nite. I dropped 30 lbs in 3 months and kept 20 off permanently. Ferris' 4-Hour Body Slow Carb diet seems to be v2.0 of that diet. I still want to lose another 20 and that's been tough.
