Personally, I look at prompt engineering the same way I see "software engineering" and think it's a bit of a mockery of the trend. Other industries have proper certifications for "engineering" that I.T. absolutely d

I just set a autoforwarder in gmail for the time being, and then updated the important services as they came through.

I'll never forget the night that I was crying for some reason or another, and my Dad came in and said I was nothing like himself or my big brother, and was more akin to my depressed alcoholic mother (obviously he didn't say this,

Google, unless Reddit upgraded their search. I can't find stuff on Reddit without Google, and I can't find quality reviews and (lesser quality) opinions on Google without reddit.

I half regret going for a fully specced Macbook Pro M1 instead of a Studio. Today I could get an m2 double the ram and ssd spec studio, and just trade off the portability (which really only applies to the screen). I don't use the keybo

Sigh... came straight off the weekend, onto my work pc, and clicked an ipfs link. Got a message from the cybersecurity team being like, "pls don't do that". Thanks HN. Pretty cool though, interested in how IPFS develops in th

Very nice. We have a very primitive tool for this at the moment, might look at moving to this.

I was more talking about their search. It was fine, but it wasn't worth the money for me. The browser didn't really pique my interest on release but I wouldn't expect it to be great on release (they're still a small comp

The image one was what I had in mind as well. Looks like they've updated the documentation with code snippets to help people out a little more, but back when I first did it, those docs were SLIM

This is why I'm bear-ish on Next.JS as a framework. Vercel has some super cool features for Next.Js that are easy to integrate into your app, but is that de-incentivizing Next.JS to implement them in an open way? Vercel is a hyper for-

Man, I know my work PC has 1000 things slowing it down, but that tweet took 5 seconds to load for me. Death by 100 loading spinners.

This is just fear mongering by news.com.au, pretty well not respected by anyone who's media savvy in Australia. We are due for a housing crash, but the media has been saying it for the last 10 years, and the government keeps propping i

I'd be interested in how people parse text off a PDF. I'm making a TTS tool to convert documents (mainly HTML docs at the moment) to speech, PDF's would be a great addition.
