This seems to be an unpopular opinion in the tech world, but I honestly enjoy working with PHP. It's such a simple, robust language, and you can use it in many different ways, depending on what you're building (OOP, scripting, mic

I honestly want the large camera manufacturers to start tapping into the computational photography realm. That tech, with their amazing sensors and glass, would produce some amazing results.

This is how I feel about people claiming every dissenting view as "fact checked" or "debunked" in recent times; it just throws out any possibility of debate.

My family and I have been going to movie theaters as a weekly family outing for a long time (pre-covid), and I have always enjoyed that. You just don't get the same experience from home.

Let's just live in our pods, own nothing by renting everything, implement our social score system, and eat our bug bars. That'll make everyone happy...

It's not farfetched to believe a crack-addicted wealthy individual who seemed to live a very "promiscuous" lifestyle, would have forgotten some cheap laptop at a repair shop. These people are humans, at the end of the day.

Is information being gated by private universities, that only the elite have access to? This may have had validity in the pre-internet era, but information is everywhere now. There's nothing wrong with "public education".

Exactly, and it's now spouted as a "fact" in multiple online communities I frequent.

I have this gut instinct we're veering towards the way China censors their internet. The great U.S. firewall, to secure our citizens from "disinformation"!

I'm so tired of React being thrown into every single web stack as of late. You don't need some large React boilerplate mess, that could've been done with some simple PHP+Jquery stack. It's caused this SPA nightmare also,

I always disable passwords for every system I work on. Then use some type of PAM, like Google Auth for TOTP.

This is correct. Without the brute-forcing nature of finding a solution for a block, it becomes trivial to game. There may be a hybrid approach to it (PoS), but they haven't proven themselves yet in a large scale.

I learned a lot about networking when setting up servers in racks. Had to deal with issues arising from terrible UI's on a lot of the routers out there, so I just kept digging deeper and deeper into how it all works. Also, if more are

I believe Apple is going to be allowing push notifications from the web soon, and you can also "Add to Homescreen" a webpage, and it acts like an app, so we might finally be seeing a needed shift away from the app store.
