Exactly. I honestly enjoy 4chan for a multitude of reasons, and have had many quality discussions on the site over the past many years. There's always garbage to sift through, but I like the "free" nature of those types of p

I like the ability to see the discourse from all sides of the spectrum (reddit, voat, worldstar, etc.) I'd rather not have the platform dictate what they "think" is going to offend me.

Wrongthink is becoming a reality.

Not transmitting; just listening and figuring things out before taking the next step. I'm well aware.

Just got a couple Baofeng's the other week to dabble in that world a bit.

This doesn't factor in diet and lifestyle choices, which have a very dramatic effect on life expectancy.

It's not crazy to understand that limiting firearm access to law abiding citizens will provide an upper hand to criminals who couldn't care less about breaking laws, with the number of firearms currently in the U.S.

I've had it hit me twice over the years.

I had the "flu", which started out different than any other sickness I've ever had. Started with a dry cough out of nowhere, and no sore throat/stuffiness, and then the horrible fever set in with an awful cough.

It could be part of the intubation process, if the patient is already that bad. Just theorizing.

People are really protesting the government with this, as they haven't provided a great solution to basically turning off capitalism for most businesses/employees. Most people I know who filed unemployment weeks ago, still haven&#

This has been the worst for me. It seems near impossible to properly calculate edge-case development, alongside core functionality, while also building a good UX.

Off-topic, but on the subject of Apple. FaceID is a nightmare to work with, while wearing a mask. The numeric input delay, after trying to open your phone for the 100th time, gets old.

I use docker compose, along with swarm, for multiple services. I love being able to manage/deploy a stack with them.

TOTP apps are fine, if they're properly implemented (either completely on-device, or properly encrypted before stored in cloud). Services should properly implement account restoration codes if access to TOTP secret is lost. SMS should

It's crazy to me that people seem dumbfounded that young people love to piss off and troll (online and offline). Do they not remember being young, or were they raised around angels?

A lot of these filers are in the restaurant/bar industry, and are being "laid off", and told to file, and then will be rehired when the quarantine ceases.

You really should. I've found it extremely relaxing and enjoyable, and it's useful learning how to repair your own vehicle.

I've been working on a bunch of car repairs that I've been putting off. I've found it really enjoyable working on the fixes myself.

Exactly. This is just the beginning, and our efforts are a lot more lax than these other countries combating this issue.

Exactly. It's like here in Florida, when the systems go down after a hurricane, cash is king in the digital age.

Assets and long term-investments mean nothing during a crisis, so short-term value stores becomes a much higher priority (currency).

I think we're still far out. There still hasn't been a solution proposed (that I've seen), of how to avoid multiple disaster scenarios (Ex. hit child chasing ball, or veer off of cliff).
