I don't know any other service like Simplegeo. MongoDB has some pretty good geo-aware methods worth looking.

I'm a geolocation fan and developer from a long time, so always watched and tested Simplegeo. But it seems they never got too much traction because their platform is very specific, even for geolocation systems (someone correct me if I'm wro

There is a lot of innovation in the programming language space, see what node.js is doing with javascript (I still remember the days when everyone let all the JS code to juniors programmers because no one liked JS). Google should focus on f

"I believe college is about opening your mind and adquiring a framework for your life.". Totally right. College isn't a place to learn how to do your work. This you will need to choose and learn on your own, since there is a plenty of optio

I use Evernote to collect useful and interesting articles and links I see during weekdays to read them on weekend or when I have some free time. And clip to Evernote the full articles that I think will be useful someday.

Facebook has bigger problems to worry about. Zynga using Facebook is a win-win for both, the problem, as pointed by TechCrunch, will be the Facebook Credits 70/30 cut (Apple, I'm looking at you).

Really cool to see how they moved from Windows-only to other technologies like Redis. They dind't jump into the hype at first version, they started using other things just now when they really needed that.

Exactly all of that! Everytime I tried to use any of these PHP frameworks, I got frustated because they demand you to be stucked inside the "convention over configuration" and you can't do anything more complicated into your code without ha

That was just an example. Developers should know what's a pointer and how to deal with it, because this is what happens everytime you hit the 'Build and Run' in compiler or run your Python script. And even a hello world in C can show all of
