Completely not my experience - 1 week if I leave mine at 100% it is like 97% when I get back.

I fully expect my 2017 EV to last for 15 years without significant degradation[1]. I see the usability of EV batteries like Solar panels - in about 10 years, they get to at worst 90% range, and are probably usable well into 20+ years. Batt

My Siri hack is to ask "call $business_name near me" and it works pretty well. For asian names, I just ask "call $restaurant_category near me". I really hope Siri gets that LLM-based upgrade in iOS18 but I can cope with

Musk's approach is a complete fail, tho. He pissed off his existing customer base (eco-lefties and centrists) and the right-fringe he courted didn't buy. But honestly it's not about politics. Musk sounds and acts unstable.

Supplier management sounds crazy. How many artists and labels exist in how many countries? How many contracts? I'd expect that to be a non-trivial, not-automatable business critical task that requires lots of bodies.

It's both. Meta can be "giving it away" and "hoping to establish an OS foothold" but if there is no major interest in playing in this space, it's going to be a very empty metaverse.

I have a 60 year old home and have made a huge dent in my winter therms and summer AC usage by simply adding some roof insulation and double-layer windows/sliding doors a few years ago. Perfect is the enemy of good enough. You are not

Who will oversee these corporations? The governments who they already bribe or control? Especially when it's only affecting "the other" (ie, populations in other countries).

Reagan's administration did all that, and not to mention they side-channelled with Iran to not release the hostages so Carter couldn't have the win. Just pure machiavellian thought process. Also: regulating ketchup as a "veg

My point is that such people exist doesn't mean they represent anyone other than as an argument point. These people have zero influence or access to levers in politics. They are convenient idiots for the opposite viewpoint.

Easy. They’re losing the Gaza war. Yemen’s blockade and full militarization is crushing Israel’s economy. Bibi is out of a job and possibly his freedom if war stops. Time for a trump card: escalation of the conflict will keep the extremists
