I think the Lithiun-Iron-Phosphate battery is actually not a fire hazard (not nearly as much as Lithium NMC ones - which are quite rare also). Explaining that to the landlord may not be fruitful however.

Are you possibly on a 2nd-tier plan (like mine, I have grandfathered T-Mobile "simple choice" @ $10/line)? MNVOs like Mint, etc are also typically 2nd-tier. Telcos typically downrate 2nd-tier data, so if it's there'

I out-accelerated a Porsche boxter in my ford focus EV with similar or worse acceleration stats to the ID.4 We were neck&neck but then he had to shift out of first. 0-60 is one measure but in city driving the 0-30 is even more relevant.

Couldn't you cache the reads? Not many usages really require real-time from their data store.

So essentially Canada gets to subsidize news outlets by having Google pay for them as a yearly subscription. No link tax, just a tax for news. Sounds... reasonable?

It's instructive to know where corporations make their money. Because that's often the only place they innovate. For Google it's web/ads. For Apple it's hardware.

Wait, they push the waste/brine into the hot water line? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of filtration? I was thinking more of using it typical gray water usage like watering plants.

I was at a carrier shop activating a new line and someone was returning their foldable - it just died on her. Rep was on hold for an hour trying to get approval to return. Really seems too bleeding edge for general public.

Got my kids dumb phones for basic calls & texts only - their only really meaningful gripe is that sending texts using T9 is very very slow. I do want them to text friends and us for coordinating. Otherwise, they do feel ostracized for

Yeah the issue with "Netanyahu is the problem" is that most of the Knesset is full of even worse folks. And the Israelis who elect them. The country is drunk with US money and arms and hasn't had to really consider rational a

I think this may be why manufacturers like Kia/Hyundai offered so many models that are ICE/hybrid/EV versions (see 2017-2022 Ioniq, Niro), now just ICE/hybrid/PHEV (Sportage, Sorrento). Could be their answer to par

I had a very inexpensive fix to my Ford Focus EV last year. Like less than $2k for being hit and spun, requiring repairs to 6-7 body panels. EV manufacturers could make cars that are as durable as ICE ones but they choose not to - limited l

While by supporting ICE vehicles and oil companies you are supporting the US government’s genocidal support of Israel. The whataboutism works two ways. The better way to “fight” China is to lobby your government to actually compete and buil

No they “cheat” by only having 4 models of car you can buy (5 if you include the Cybertruck). How many models does Toyota sell? As of 2009 that was 70 different models. Not sure what the number is for 2024

Not sure you get it. It’s not about who wants to live where. It’s about who wants to add an investment in a location that they will subsequently rent out (probably through a property management service). It doesn’t matter if it’s a luxury c

I got a "free upgrade" from Enterprise to an EV with 20% remaining battery. I took it because I knew I had L2 spots at my hotel and wasn't driving much anyway. So it's not just Hertz.
