Are there any celebrity programmers streaming? Would be interesting to watch Jeff Dean, Fabrice Bellard, or Donald Knuth code.

Some feeds are just paginated. Following "next" links would work. Feeds readers don't do this though as they assume people are usually interested in the new posts.

The “concentrate on one subject” part is interesting. I reminds me of "get good enough in one skill to see the meta game" [0]: > There seems to be something in getting good at a skill tree that helps in latter life. I’d like to

I gave away my Diplomacy box after playing it once. It is so much easier to get a round started online. On the other hand, a wall of board games is for signaling as well and thus your lament is valid.

For me there is still a big question how much process and people matter for the quality. This article suggests process should be the primary focus. Books like Peopleware suggest that people matter most.

I would love to have a prediction market for the plans at work. I fear management would mostly not appreciate such honest assessments though and nobody is prepared to think in probabilities.

Could you expand on "I completely see where they're coming from"? I kind of learned this over time. So when someone shows off something lame, I just keep quiet. Sometimes I try to find something praiseworthy. Personally, I do

I just realized that Klein and Kahneman conditions are a good argument for apprenticeships in programming. One condition is that the you get quick feedback about your decisions. For example, if a surgeon makes a mistake then blood splatters
