What exactly are you saying that we CT owners "deserve"? I like my CT. It has served my family well for a year. It's a car, not a political statement. I hope that this kind of vicious sentiment doesn't become mainstream.

I canceled my Spotify premium subscription because they showed sponsored content in the app. Not as egregious as jamming ads in between songs, but I still don’t want to have to scroll past a “sponsored” UI element to get to what I’m actuall

I somewhat regret my math degree, which was in addition to my CSE degree. I didn't need to learn complex analysis or Galois theory. I've forgotten all of it. CS was rigorous enough for my 20 years working in software engineering.

Right but in my non-scientific test I found uBlock to work better so I don’t use the Brave blocker. My prediction is that Brave will eventually say that it’s too costly to maintain v2 in their fork and that people should just use the Brave

I use Brave and am satisfied with it. The occasional hassle involved in turning things off when a new unwanted feature shows up or when I have to install it on a new machine is worth it for uBlock Origin and the Chromium performance and com

That’s not enough. Many sites serve ads from the same domains that they serve content from. Google, meta, etc. You need to have extensions that can parse the DOM and remove content from it.

It occasionally helps to get the vandals arrested. Doesn't seem to be deterring the vandalism though, which is what I care about. I want to be able to go about my life without having to worry about coming back to a graffitied/dama

Time for the "source?"-ing. If it is an undisputed fact, then is there any reputable media that plainly states "Elon did a Nazi salute"?

It's wild how "Elon did a Nazi salute" is now taken as an unquestioned truth. Most of the time here, false or exaggerated statements are "source?"-d and nitpicked to death, but not this one because so many people wa

Pro-EV Tesla-owning conservative here. There aren't many of us, and for those of us in a blue city (e.g. Seattle) we now also have to contend with Kristallnacht-like environments for Tesla owners. Politically apathetic Asians are proba

Not every organization can make decent clients/apps. And those that can will embed unblockable ads and dark patterns into them. For example Amazon.com is usable with an adblocker but the Amazon app is a horrific mess of ads. Facebook.c

Cheap way to power the home directly is to get a generator inlet put in ($500-1000) and connect the vehicle to that. You can then use either a vehicle or a gas generator, which is useful during extended outages when you need to top up the c
