I see. My kids are still too small to be there. There’s this sweet spot of maybe age 6-11 where the kid can sit there safely and also isn’t big enough to hate the lack of leg room. And when you have two kids that overlapping window is even

I got a Belkin one 5 years ago for about the same price. Charges my phone and watch! Awesome. Then the next year I got a 13 Pro Max, and the charging coils didn't line up. Phone won't charge. I swore to never buy $150 chargers eve

I drove a Civic for 16 years or so. Great car, no major issues. I traded it in for a EV and I couldn't believe how much more convenient it was, starting from the buying experience. No car salesmen / dealership fee. Never go to a g

Do you get usage out of the 3rd row? I've had mine for almost 4 years and there has been exactly twice that I put someone in the 3rd row, and that person never wants to do it again.

I would never buy one because I also try to avoid anything Meta or Google but I received one anyway as a birthday gift. Wife’s thought process was “he likes tech, he wears sunglasses, he’ll love it”. They’re fine glasses and the video recor

Reddit is definitely a better place for the overly emotional/political comments that come up here, but it’s very one-sided. A good or bad thing depending on your side.

It was initially pretty bad. The top few comment threads were toxic and rehashed outrage. It’s a lot cleaner now. Thanks to the moderators and/or users flagging the non-productive comments.

Search, gmail, YouTube, and maps (on desktop only - Apple Maps on mobile). With as much ad blocking as I can get. I’m ready to jettison any of them that get unblockable ads.

Thank you for doing this. Ever since the election there’s a concerted effort to exaggerate and mislead people. This site will go the way of Reddit unless people like you are paying attention and take action.

I rarely use the brakes on my 6600lb CT because I'm usually using regenerative braking. I assume it's similar for the 7100lb Rivian. Now, if you're constantly launching at traffic lights, that's going to be some extra ti

I drive one and I love it! I wanted a large, robust self-driving family EV and as a bonus it looks unique compared to the blobs that everyone else drives. It's sad that we CT drivers seem to be caught in a crossfire between Tesla and T

I was exhausted after a weekend with the kids and FSD pretty much drove me the 2 hours from the Canada border back home. No other cars on the market can do this. People who diminish it don’t understand what an amazing achievement it is. “Bu

The honest reason is I loved the look from the moment it was unveiled. I’ve had Teslas for years and this one is the same thing I’m used to but bigger and has massive cargo space, which is useful now that I have kids whose toys (strollers,

Many of the dings against reliability are “recalls” that get patched OTA. I’ve owned 3 over the past 7 years and the only time I’ve gone in for a repair was because the motorized truck bed cover wasn’t closing on its first try. I had to pre

Still going strong with the Asian tech crowd, from what I see in the Bellevue (Seattle) area. We don’t care about politics (or we actually like Elon), and we don’t have many white friends that shame us about our cars. We just want dependabl

All I can come up with is that DEI programs got canceled. It probably feels like oppression if you were previously benefiting from it. As a minority (Asian) I feel the opposite of oppressed.

The link I posted has a crime section. There were 5 separate shootings. A 16 year old boy was shot and killed and a 14 year old was shot and in critical condition. From a loss of life due to violence perspective, CHOP/CHAZ was worse.
