It's an easy and convenient position. War is bad, maybe my government is bad, ergo they shouldn't have anything to do with it. Too much of the western world has lived through a period of peace that goes back generations, so probab

I'll share my opposing view point. Whilst Maccabi fans may contain hooligans, that's not really surprising for football fans. Fans travelling within Europe cause trouble all the time. What is different, is that Maccabi fans were b

I agree, ban it for everyone. But starting with children seems like a good start for that seeing as we'd need to go against most of the biggest companies in the world with significant political influence.

This comes across as incredibly paranoid. Most places use 3rd party age verification anyway. They're following the law/playing safe with the law in certain countries, and it's just easier to apply it everywhere.

You didn't retire at all if you still were running a startup surely? You just had multiple jobs and quit one.

It shouldn't feel weird not to look at your phone, but approximately 98.5% of the population will do so (unless perhaps they're the older generation). When you're so addicted to checking at your phone (like me and many others

I'd hope that people's opinions have changed a bit since them. The negative effects on teenagers mental health is certainly being discussed more for example.

I wonder how android developers feel about this. You put years of your life into supporting a companies product, and then they actively try and remove the need for your job to exist.

Optimising YouTube viewing time is a terrible goal to devote your life to in my opinion. I'm not sure if OP ever thought too deeply about what he was working on, but addicting people to a screen is not one I consider a value to society

I'll go against the grain slightly and say that usually Google ratings are quite reliable for me. At times I notice they're exaggerated and it usually coincides with someone coming to ask me to rate them at the end of the meal.
