Forgot to mention absolutely milking every ounce of their users attention with Youtube, plus forcing Shorts!

Likewise. All my friends were within cycling distance and we had nature to play in. Personally I can't imagine growing up in a city like London.

Not asking for feedback is the killer for me. Even most junior developers will ask for more information if they don't have enough context/confidence to complete a task.

Honestly - if it's such a good technique it should be built into the tool itself. I think just waiting for the tools to mature a bit will mean you can ignore a lot of the "just do xyz" crap. It's not at senior engineer l

The UK already uses palantir. Clearly they value it to continue and extend the relationship. But what do they know? "Jumps into bed" gives a pretty good idea of what the author wants you to think. But I'm going to give the pe

If you haven't, read the anxious generation. We already know. But it's addictive/unhealthy in a different way and all the biggest companies in the world are behind it.

I used to work nearby, and it eventually got to the point that I didn't even look up when walking past by. It's funny how incredible things become quotidian, in all aspects of our lives.

I also dream for this. Personally I would remove likes/reactions though. As we've seen with Instagram it's too easy to chase that dopamine rush/compare number of likes. Comments are enough in my opinion.

Thanks for sharing. London has these permanently, and while not cheap, they're very much worth it too.

For some definition of well, that includes forcing shorts on everyone and getting most of the youth addicted to your product.

I'm curious, why Palantir as worse? As I understand it they are basically well very built data pipelines + dashboards + marketing. See here for example: https://www.wired.com/story/palantir-what-the-company-does&#x

Google, currently thought of as the AI leader has shown time and time again they will resort to monopolistic practices. I really hope open source models are the way, but the fact is the vast majority of day to day usage of LLMs is on models

Exactly what I was getting at. They're probably the most powerful tool in human history if you wanted to influence people. Of course they're exciting from a tech perspective but I can't help but feel people are missing the bi

It's starting to feel to me that a lot of tech is just converging on other platforms solutions. This for example sounds incredibly similar to how a mobile app works (on the surface). Of course it goes the other way too, with mobile tec

I think you're right, but you're also ignoring the effects of monopolies and/or collusion. There's a absolutely a chance prices don't come down due to broader anti-competitive plays.

Not just their users, the US government too. They've successfully turned it into a geopolitical issue. Apple not being viewed in the same light as Microsoft in the 90s is one of the best marketing ploys ever seen.

Lovely article. Worth mentioning that Labradors are descended from now extinct water dogs in Canada, but are technically British and were originally gun dogs. Of course they're incredible pets too.

This was always the app/company I would have made given the opportunity, so wishing you luck. Nothing replaced Facebook events and the sharing of photos from said events after Facebook died.

I love the premise behind this app, but the "draw over screen" permission is pretty dangerous. For example, stealing passwords by intercepting taps on the keyboard. How can we trust you won't be doing this?
