Reading this thread and some of the replies reminds of the whole “world vs Japan” memes. Wanting to preserve the local culture is racist and disgusting UNLESS it’s Japan doing it. I wonder why Japan’s so special

Do you mean the Balkans? Since e.g. Poland is bigger than the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark and around the same size as Germany (to within 15%). Ukraine is even bigger - larger than all the former.

Last time I looked at switching from poetry to uv I had an issue with pinning certain dependencies to always install from a private PyPI repository. Is there a way to do that now? (also: possible there's always been a way and I'm

There's one thing I don't get about the symmetric+superposition explanation. Why are there alpha - beta - alpha on the adjacent nodes, and not alpha-alpha-alpha? I.e. why is one of the directions distinct while the other two are c

Thanks, this is great! I've been having a look at your noplate repo, I really like what you're doing there (though I need a minute trying to figure out the more arcane macros!)

For all its expressiveness of the CPE format I find PURLs much easier to work with. Especially when it comes to software that doesn't fall neatly into the classic vendor/product split like what CPE envisions.

You're right, I think merged a few things together when writing the comment. What I meant is that (if you ignore PrinceXML and focus on FOSS) you're down to 3 options: - wkhtmltopdf - weasyprint - (headless) chromium with puppetee

Thank you, just downloaded the binary :) As a +1 data point it's performing really well on my machine (although I don't think the dark theme toggle works). Like I said, not the target audience but wishing you good luck with the pr

Interesting. I wonder if this is the right way though. Firstly because the RT critic score was gamified a while ago, and secondly because there's often a big gap between what the critics think and what the audience thinks. (One of the
