“What? Most (all?) platforms let you opt out of this.” Genuinely didn’t know that appreciate you pointing it out. “Shares are fungible, how would it matter if one share is borrowed by 10 people or by none?” Lets hedge funds create dispropor

thinking back to 2021 it really shows we need some reform around brokers being able to land their customers stock to short sellers without any kind of consent. Also same shares should not be shortable multiple times ...

With LLMs there is no real dev velocity penalty of using high perf. langs like say Rust. A pair of 192 Core AMD EPYC boxes will have enough headroom for 99.9% of projects.

Pretty poor narrative tbh. As things stand they will not be profitable unless stop developing new models or get to AGI. So very likely never.

Might be because negative/questioning comments sound to be written by people who have no clue what they are talking about.

You can get same type of hardware/software setup that hyperscailers use for their datacenters for your on-prem workloads.

Prevent what? 0xide customers were running on-prem workloads before 0xide they just will have a much nicer way to do it now. >50% of enterprise workloads are still on-prem.

You can and Pollock paintings will go for 80 mil instead of 110 and luxury assets will drop in price but will still be owned by same people. Switzerland is tiny so not very constrained. There is some elasticity for converting paper wealth i

Again people confuse paper wealth and material assets. If you take half of money of 0.001% people imagine there will be material change in world of atoms but thats not true. You can't take 8 mil Richard Mille watch and build an apartme

Not many. Money is not a perfect abstraction. The raw materials used to produce 100B worth of Nvidia chips will not yield you many hospitals. AI researcher with 100M singup bonus from Meta ain't gonna lay you much brick.

I am not arguing Elon is a nice dude or Tesla's valuation is justified. I am saying claim has not delivered on anything is false.

OK how all of these mental gymnastics relate to the claim the have not fulfilled their goals? Maybe they have not fulfilled your goals but they look to have fulfilled 2 of their 3 stated goals.

I explicitly posted their stated goal and you are resorting to extreme mental gymnastics to create a straw man. under 0.01% of all startups reach valuation of 10B less than 0.0001% of startups reach valuation of 100B

there are 100+ EV models available in US. The only "blocked" entries are Chinese brands which are skirting tariffs by using owned European brands e.g. Polestar, Volvo etc.

Sure by building largest charging network and allowing to use their patents they are hindering that transition really badley.

Tesla's goal was to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy by building a comprehensive ecosystem of electric vehicles (EVs), solar generation, and battery storage. Looks to me they delivered on 2 of the 3

well Tesla did jump start the EV revolution not life altering but is pretty important. IF SpaceX gets spaceship right that will be a huge leap forward.

hmm Tesla shipped millions of cars SpaceX launches 90% of space payloads, Starlink is working well. Thats hard to categorize as never delivered on any of his projects

Maybe it's the types of projects I work on but Gemini is basically unusable to me. Settled on Claude Code for actual work and Codex for checking Claude's work. If I try to mix in Gemini it will hallucinate issues that do not exist
