If you assume that berserkers are difficult to produce and disperse throughout the galaxy, then you might conclude that they have limited capabilities. Perhaps after detecting intelligent life and reporting it, perhaps it attached itself to

Unlikely. The one that hit a couple years ago in Russia was not detected at all because it came from the solar side.

In fairness, the odds of an asteroid hitting so close to a major city is so small, that an intentional alien attack should not be entirely ruled out. A berserker in far solar orbit could conceivably stunt human development every couple thou

The timelines do not match. OP's event took place in 1650BCE, while the Bronze Age collapse was 450 years later, in 1200BCE. Those dates are separated significantly beyond their margins of error.

It does seem strange that the impact was so close to a city. Statistically, this would infer that many many of these impacts have happened all over the place, and there's not much evidence of that. Another fun theory is that there

This post is childish and has no depth or merit. It reads like a teenager's rant with blending of angst and conflating of ideas and emotions.

The real underlying issue is that high profile accounts are targeted by groups of users who "report abuse" simply because they don't like that sports team/politician/etc... High profile accounts cannot work under id

You have to remember that high profile accounts get 10000x the number of abuse-reports than a normal account - nearly all bogus. The normal automated moderation functions simply do not work. Many users will simply mash the "report abus

It looks like these are mostly journalists being killed covering things like the drug trade or gang activities in developing countries. I don't see any connection to the deaths and climate change.

If they were making the argument that they should be exempt because they tested positive for antibodies, that would be a more reasonable argument. They are not making that argument. They are simply anti-vax.

I feel like if they tested positive for covid-19 antibodies, that might be a valid exemption - because it's a bit much to require vaccinations for them if we still don't even know that it makes much difference.

In these cases though, they have not. It would be a better argument to say that they've tested positive for covid-19 antibodies - but that's not what's going on here. They're just anti-vax.

The rate might be higher, but we have our share of anti-vax people - including some violent protests at the Prime Minister lately, causing him to cancel rally events. In our office, we have a number of people I know aren't vaccinated.
