I don’t think that's entirely correct. While you can't ask the OS to tween the values, nothing prevents you from doing that, other than likely a reduced frame rate. See this demo: http://stewd.io/pong/ It&#

For the people who want Google to be split up, it seems that it already is! You can look at this list of apps as a list of single startups that launched and failed. They’re all unrelated to each other; At most they share a “Login with Googl

I use Safari’s reader mode on Medium and it fails to load lazy-loaded images (unsurprisingly) so if I want to see those, I have to scroll down first and then enable the mode.

I struggle to believe you don’t understand how “stolen goods don’t work” affects society.

That sounds wrong and likely varies wildly across jurisdictions. If you dig a hole on your property you better secure it, or else kids might fall in.

No, the reason for E’ is that it doesn’t appear on the keyword and there’s no obvious way to make it work. You’ll also occasionally see PERCHè for the same reason. Also non-digital natives don’t really know the difference between É and E’ o

> So just use AC. You can even look it up in the index. No, you “can” not, you “must” look it up. I know what a sun is, I don’t know what HO means, I will have to look it up. You’re looking at the problem as if there was no language ot

You might have replied to the wrong comment, this thread is about the value of domains, not OP’s link. I agree keeping the domain is silly, but perhaps the guy is rich enough to not care.

It’d be kind of ridiculous that a national service would not recognize their own characters as a default. It’s more likely that the general-use OCR failed in your instance.

I hate and love that. Someone must have seen those characters enough times to have become good at deciphering them. What a waste of time for the postal system though, I’m surprised they didn’t just return to sender.

They can also be useful to the wrong people. Image URLs also don’t have the requirement of keeping the username secret, but they’ve been used to find the Facebook account that published them so Facebook changed that.

Internet is only going to get more important. There’s no way domains are going to get cheaper. Any short domain will be worth millions given a long enough timeline.

One of my most exciting bus journey was on a very straight and smooth road which the driver did probably above 80/100 Km/h regardless of the speed bumps we encountered along the way. My ass got some air that day (in the skateboard

What are you talking about? There’s no durian that goes for 30 baht/kg. Only in Phuket I see the local variety at 50 baht but monthong is still 100/120 now. In Bangkok it’s rare/impossible to find it for less than 140. Probab

Where? Sure it bounced back. Durian goes for 160 baht/kg in Bangkok (April 2021), up from the 120 baht/kg I saw in April 2019. That’s about US$5/kg.

Please leave durian alone, it’s already super expensive as it is. Go build a batter out of bananas or something.

That’s ironic. You’re complaining that LE couldn’t work after “a few years” yet your solution is to pay for something that definitely requires your intervention yearly. Mind you, the latter still requires you to provide a valid address th

Apples to oranges. Public companies aren’t going to use exploits to break the sandbox. Zoom on desktop installs all sorts of daemons that I don’t want; on iOS it can’t.

I resorted to using all modern video call software on my iPhone for that reason. I also get better camera quality so there's that. Apple Handshake also makes it relatively easy to share links.

That's cookie banners in action. When "yes" is a click a way and "no" requires exploring a bad UI and possibly waiting whole seconds and a page refresh, you will expect people to just click yes and get it over with.

Ok CSS sucks but what are the alternatives? What I see on other platforms requires some sort of WYSYWYG, which you can sort of do in the browser as well. They all generate XML, which I doubt is any more writable than CSS. What I’ll forever
