I haven't had cable in over 3 years, and I don't miss it for a moment. Between Boxee and Netflix Streaming via PS3, it's a complete waste of money. Per the live events issue, that's largely a non-issue for me because it almost never fails t

I voted you back up. HN has been suffering from a flight of noobs that downmod as a sign of disagreement but without voicing an opinion. I agree with the animation bit, it's a little distracting. I disagree about the size of the box because

Exactly. I use to work with a company funded by Benchmark that approached it the exact same way. Their first game was just the start, and most definitely not the end. A lot of game designers fail to understand this; very few game empires ar

I deserve to eat my foot then. However, my comment is still largely true. Today our site was down with the same exact error, and it was down a few days ago. Every other day with little communication about what they are really doing to fix i

Just want to say thanks for doing such a fantastic job with Urban Airship. We're using it for our app and it's proven to be extremely valuable and has saved us loads of time, we'll have no problem paying when we exceed our usage. :) Really

I don't disagree with burning patent trolls at the stake... but why does it always seem that if something happens in Texas, it has to be called out specifically as if we don't have enough misinformed stigmas hanging over our head? Maybe it'

You're making an assumption. My guys rarely, if ever, work more than 40 hours a week but 30 hours a week is unacceptable at this stage . I agree with you about inspiration in some regards, I spent the first half of my career as a creative

Question: How do you know the true capabilities of your employees when you measure work solely by results with no correlation to time? Does your company get a pay discount when an employee finishes a milestone in half the time? I ask becaus

That's because you had a terrible work environment and you're honey mooning, not because working from an office is evil. Separating life and work is generally a very good thing, particularly if you're an entrepreneur because it forces you t

Plants vs. Zombies was very popular before it ever hit the AppStore. And, PopCaps already had a massive fan base from Peggle and Bejeweled before P vs Z ever came out; they've been cranking out great stuff for a while now.
