Hate to say it, but this simply isn't true. What Tesla brought to the game was insane performance for Electic cars, _and_ OTA updates for maps and software. And _just as importantly_ they actually update the software in meaningful ways

Note that this is _not_ a relay attack. This actually updates the firmware on the Key Fob, which allows you to bypass (for example) the old workaround of disabling the "walk up unlocking" to defeat relay attacks. Many manufacturer

Not all manufacturers, but many have fixed this. It's relatively simple to tighten the timings so that if it takes to long to round trip, then it is not accepted. https://www.companynewshq.com/company-news/personal

You do know that "think of the kids" is a terrible argument? And, more importantly, why do you think that your daughter won't want the same freedoms that you had? Or should she be protected from those freedoms? Don't get

The funny thing about the PDP-11 instruction set is how ridiculously simple it is to write a C compiler for it… the C operands map almost 1 to 1 to PDP-11 instructions. At least that is what my compilers writing class taught me 25 years ago

Fascinating. This is an input that I hadn't considered. However "Vegan" things is definitely a tricky subject… for example cars often have leather seats and/or steering wheels. And it can be quite hard to get a "dec

Interestingly enough, one of the things that I hate about travelling in the US, is that a lot of restaurants only have that creamed butter. Maybe it's an acquired and/or cultural taste, but it certainly isn't what I prefer :-

Links to why it would be useful to use Desert sand in concrete: Desert sand is not really usable for most things that we want sand for, for example, it is not suitable for concrete, since it is too fine. ( https://petroleumservice

I think that it's a bit of a shame that you are being downvoted, since the point that (I think) you are making is valid. Namely you need to look at the total cost of manufacture, especially with respect to the environment and/or C

This is absolutely common. For various reasons, I know a bunch of chef's. Some don't mind cooking outside of work, but quite a few see cooking as work, and don't want to work outside of work…

I can confirm (via unverifiable sources sadly, so this is only anecdotal) that this number is at worst believable. I know of other online retailers that see similar return numbers. Particularly in clothing. From what I understand it is a re

The model 3 handles way better than the Model S, except for (probably) the not yet released model S Plaid (due next year). The new 2020 model S handles a lot better than the older models, but is still quite big and boaty compared to the mod

Honestly, it's simpler than that. Instead of doing <= for your end time, simply say <. That is, give me events where time >=30/1/2020 00:00:00 and time < 31/1/2020 00:00:00.

And as per that top voted comment: The question of whether the last gear will break the concrete is moot. The gears themselves will erode away to nothing before they get a chance to apply much torque to the final gear. I think that the sam

I see several references in this thread to "a bug in Clang that is already fixed", but I can't see anywhere where anyone references this bug. Can anyone point to the bug report (and/or fix) in Clang?

I 100% agree on the "this is not how humans treat humans". This sort of thing is what comes up when you can only be measured by numbers. And someone four levels above you says the numbers need to improve by 2%. At that point you a

That just means that it doesn't pay enough though. Imagine this thought experiment, if you could make 1,000,000USD a year from being a truck driver, would you do it? Even if that job only has a 3-4 year lifespan? I suspect that most pe

Do you have a source for that? Dropping that age limit from 15 to 12 years would obsolete about 20% of the fleet overnight, since the age spread of the cabs is fairly linear.
