Snowden never claimed to be an idealistic saint. He's only human. He's facing the same, or worse, inhumane treatment as Bradley Manning [1]. I doubt he really cares at this point the politics of the country that keeps him safe. I

Pretty cool! I can see this being really useful. Beware, however, that, while there are certain cases that mysql can utilize indexes in a group by clause if values are constant [1], mysql definitely won't be able to use indexes with an

Mark Manson has written a lot of really valuable advice, including IMO the only dating book you should ever read [1]. He rejects the pickup culture in favor of a more intimate, human approach towards building emotional connections and impro

No, the underpinning is the slide [1] which explicitly states "collection directly from the servers" [1]: http://cdn-static.zdnet.com/i/r/story/70/00/016565/new-prism...

Nice! This just made my day. I must have listened to part 1 dozens of times to try and extract every bit of information, and I admit I enjoy hearing his voice. Notice this is still from the June 6th interview; Snowden's proved to be so

Lots of negativity and one-uppery in these comments. I just wanted to say great job, keep up the good work. You're making everybody's lives easier, either directly or indirectly, by pushing the envelope here :)

Years ago, when I interned at Microsoft, they did a company survey to figure out what to name what would become Vista. The top two names were Windows Hooker and Windows Heroin. True story.

Again, I must offer a disclaimer that I only read a fraction of the total source code, but I would assume it would involve similar use-cases to sqlite [1]. For example, IIRC, the Firefox web browser uses (used?) sqlite for storage. However,

Just off my basic understanding of how the database works, I don't believe a production web app would be a very appropriate use-case, since considering it's an embeddable database you'll be bound by the slow filesystem. Mysql

I would say start treating the authors with the respect that they, as human beings, deserve. I too would like PHP support, but, if it's not there, I can still appreciate the hours and hours of labor that go into the support they do h

I wouldn't worry about it. Greenwald claims that the currently-released information is but a fraction of the total disclosures to come. I'm sure he and his editors meticulously played out every scenario of the different release or

I love things like this. I generally work with JSON anyway when I'm doing one-off things like cron jobs, and I usually just keep my data in JSON flat files, so to have options like these really makes my life easier. Great job!

To folks downvoting, stop. This is an interesting, on-topic, technical question. There's a reason we're given the ability to downvote only after reaching a karma threshold, because we're to do so judiciously.

I stand by that statement more-so than any of the other ones, and I'm sorry if you found it offensive. Sneakers have no place in a professional environment. There are plenty of comfortable options for professional footwear.
