Oh yeah, it should. Would look rather nice as well. The size gain doesn't have to be more than couple percents, maybe 3-5?

If a person loses their mind over a republican being elected president, I wouldn't want to work with that person. What happened to calm discourse?

In general, WWW content should be designed browser/user/agent agnostic way. Better not to assume that everyone is using touch or a mouse to scroll around. Hence, it's not the greatest design.

I'm guessing that the data couldn't completely be silenced because then any heavy dynamic compression at playback would bring out the optimization and break the sound.

But what exactly is achieved with information hiding, hmm? :) Now there forms many schools of opinion, and in many of them it suffices to have data immutable and value-like, and suddenly it doesn't matter if the information is hidden

A couple comments. * clojure protocols map to interfaces (abstract classes for C++ folks) * one can define records that satisfy protocol(s). This is one way to do OO in clojure, happens to map to the underlying JVM mechanisms for JVM optimi

Yes, I've been hasty to write sloppily today. One thing that is not perfect is the way Python treats classes; the mechanism is very much like in Java or C#. Multiple dispatch requires some handiwork, although it's not half bad in

While the implementation is not optimal (favors photograph content as PNG is not going to win JPEG here; overall favors pages of few colors) the idea is actually quite decent.

But exactly. The so-called OO languages are worse at the key tenets of OO paradigm: polymorphism and message passing. I didn't even attempt to clarify that in my original post so forgive me for that.

Clojure, or maybe all these related Rich Hickey talks transformed my attitude towards systems programming. Before that, the Unix philosophy. But perhaps I can't say that the Unix philosophy changed my career because I adopted it very e

Not gp, but I store the old oil in a closed can, back of the shed. While usually there's a waste management charge for oils, in Finland there are occasional events when it's free to deliver oils and whatnot. So I take the few cans

Agreed, although I don't personally mandate paper-coding to pass any syntax / compiler checks, but the code should resemble the language and the algorithms be made sound without any googling or whatever.

In a sense, biased news are also fake. They don't cover the whole truth and may contain traces of nontruths. Similarly, all fake news are biased, unless they are markov chain -generated gibberish with apolitical sample data.
