I remember reading the same comments about the iPhone and iPad. Maybe Glass won't be anywhere near as successful, but I don't think it will be remembered as insignificant.

Does google data mine Drive? I always thought the monetary incentive was through the cloud storage tiers.

Except when Snowden actively denies these companies inability to avoid compliance. I'm not sure who to believe that this point. This whole thing is messier than cold war politics and it was probably orchestrated that way.

So you're completely disregarding the possibility that Qwest was dismantled and Nacchio was just a pawn?

Any source on that Steve Jobs speculation? It makes more sense that Apple's lack of attractive cloud/internet service presence delayed their eventual adoption.

Not to discredit them completely, but don't forget that dropbox was listed as "coming soon" in the PRISM slides.

Wait, what? Yahoo is still part of PRISM. We don't really know how Google, Apple, Dropbox, etc. reacted to attempts by the NSA to be put under PRISM. We only know that Microsoft wilfully made it as easy and accessible as possible, but

I think a lot of outrage on this site and others is misplaced. Why are there more posts about boycotting than about affecting change in the federal government? The efficacy of boycotting is pretty dubious given that prism is probably just o

Are you implying that he's living in a google bubble? I just searched with multiple search engines, with different browsers, and even with different IPs and they all returned a link to the same effect. Different sources (prweb on most)

Considering what's happened to motorola over the past year?

I switch between iOS and Android, but the Lumia phones do seem attractive to me despite WP. They could have really differentiated in the android market, or at least forced Samsung to make some better hardware choices.

This seems more like a halo device than an assumed success. This certainly makes owning a Lumia more attractive to me even though I'm not interested in WP whatsoever.

All the current rumors on the phone point to boring superficial changes like color and customized wallpapers (for real). They're not spending $500mil advertising a phone for hardware geeks.

Motorola went through a massive reorg soon after google bought them. They were firing thousands of employees at the time, so it's probable that a lot of bad decision-makers are gone by now.

I think the problem is skill related. Most U.S students just don't have the proper foundation in math to do well in physics, engineering, or even bio and chemistry. I don't think majors like philosophy or english are implicitly an

If I could hazard a guess, I think the popularity of abolishing the summer break started around the time when the sunbelt started to see a huge migration influx. Energy costs skyrocket for large buildings (like public schools) during the su

I'm waiting for the Fall releases. I love the iPhone, but I'm not a huge fan of iOS. If Google doesn't come out with some compelling hardware (through motorola or otherwise), I'll definitely get the new iPhone.

I'm still happy with my iPhone 4. It's not as snappy as it use to be, and I had to replace the battery last year, but it's still good enough for my needs. I'll see what the iPhone 6 or the Nexus 5 have to offer, but if t
