my first (portable) digital camera was actually from the Zire 71. My entire graduating class got a m515, but I took it to Staples or OfficeMax to return for store credit, which was the price of the Z71. I used it mostly for games and photos

I had Stable Diffusion running on m1 and intel macbooks vein the first few days, but the original repo would have done people some favors if they either created proper conda lock files for several platforms or just used conda-forge instead

we would get it in the Richmond. The thickest fog in the bay area right I know if is always around Skyline between Westmoore and Hickey - it still gets that thick there.

Disclaimer: I’m a salesforce employee (though relatively new one) Salesforce (the app), Jira, Peoplesoft, SAP, etc… are all platforms/apps for business that provide you entities, custom fields for those entities, a web interface, repor

I had only been alluding to indirect effects - an increase in the greenhouse effect, which certainly would raise temperatures (and increase the amount water air can hold). I think we will find that, even during an increase in anomalous year

no mention of the Hunga Tonga–Hunga Ha'apai eruption? It sounds like that eruption at least changed atmospheric composition by throwing tons of water into it.

I used dehydrated pretty effectively (along with openssl) to renew and sync certs between several layers of proxies/loadbalancers. I ended up creating a nice k8s deployment with CronJob to implement this with ingress-nginx.

the hard thing about TAI is that it’s not properly supported in DBMS, RFC 3339/ISO 8601, etc… This makes it hard to use. It’s actually easier to use MJD represented as a double.

Please consider that none of this actually matters if we ditched UTC for TAI. For one, time zones still exist and local solar time is already decoupled from clock time. The worst case scenario is things are different.

Just don’t go to Chile expecting it - it is virtually non-existent (it might exist in some high-end restaurants - I’ve never seen it) Chileans tend to eat merluza or reineta, and then maybe salmon.

After shooting film after a long while, and still using a Fuji x100, I think shooting with film is somewhat liberating when it comes to editing - partially because it front loads some of the decisions from editing. Even shooting with my X10

Other telescopes are being built, at least at places like Goddard SFC. Probably WFIRST aka Nancy Roman Space Telescope) there. Other facilities (Northrop Grumman) would be competing with NatSec/OGA instruments.

What is the timescale you are thinking of for 10% chance of success? 10% first light success is different than 10% 10-year survey success. There’s physically not enough infrastructure (clean rooms, testing facilities, vacuum chambers, etc…)
