Where are you from and where do you live? My impression is the USA has the worst drinking culture. Many other places in the world have much better ones. UK pubs, Japanese izakayas. I had a pretty negative view of drinking growing up in the

I'm actually curious, many blurays I own have what seems like artificial noise added and I've wondered if that's there to hide compression artifacts.

I'm not a fan of grid cities. Yes, they are easier to navigate, but I find them boring. It's much more fun to explore Tokyo's twists (west side) than Osaka's grid. Paris, London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Berlin, Istanbul, ..

I just wish Club Mate was popular in the states. I love it and it's super popular in Berlin but I have yet to introduce it to a single person in the USA who like it (T_T)

How do you know it was a mistake? The same incentives apply. They might be sending you the wrong thing on purpose, hoping you won't notice, so the law is there to prevent that.

It a stupid "republicans believe in creationism and democrats don't" falsehood. 68% of democrats believe in creationism vs 72% of republicans. That's hardly a difference.

Except I've learned the hard way it's not fast. Every week or so I lose an entire day to trying to update dependencies and then fixing what broke. So instead of going fast I'm stuck doing maintenance. Even on my own projects
