I work with mileszs on TellMyPolitician. We are trying to get feedback on how to better present this to publishers to entice them to place our button on their site. We eventually want to have our tool added to the likes of addthis and share

I say this, find me a business with out competition and I will show you a business without any customers. Every business is going to have competition. If you didn't then your area of business is likely something no one wants.

I do believe unless you turn off the option of sharing your data with Google, they do have the ability. I am not a 100% sure, but I think so.

I see some of his points. However, buying keywords on searches that you rank highly in is often not a negative. We buy brand terms for our clients all the time and it only helps them. They do very well in the organic listings for these same

Just a hypothetical, which is worse. The greed of a Wall Street Banker, or the power hungriness of a politician. Both, are greedy, but for different things.

I agree with your above statements. However, referring to the competition by name isn't always a bad thing. Many companies do it to great success. Direct comparisons are great in advertising and they are trying to draw a direct comparison t

I love this idea even though it is expensive. I would never pay these rates, but I think they are missing out on revenue gold. If all the socks you get are the same, like the article says you gather a lot of socks. But if you throw in varie

I second this. I know that you are addressing bills going through congress, but I don't know what you want me to do. I also had a hard time trying to reading the bills in the list.

Clicktale.com actually let's you watch users on your site. You see what they see and where their mouse moves. This is different than what Omniture offers, it is more supplemental to what you are asking. I do know that Omniture's number one

I really liked this story. They definitely persevered. It is great to see someone work hard, even when it doesn't workout at first, and still make it big.

I don't think it is so much a matter of all you have is your cofounders, but more that if this goes down you all go down together. That is why you must use each other to get to shore. But still use all other avaiable resources as needed.

I think the reason you get so many repeated posts from newbies, is that HN does not have a search feature. I think simplly adding a google search to HN would likely cut down on this issue.
