Yes, I'm a big fan now of throwing all my css for a class or id in a single line. The same dang rules are in all the classes or ids, so it's not that big of a deal to look across the line and quickly modify say the height. This reduces th

I've started using the 960.gs grid system to design sites and it allowed me to reuse more style sheet code therefore reducing the total lines of css. The 960.gs helps me keep my css clean because I'm able to establish the bulk of the site d

I think it's brilliant. Nice work! In terms of a business model, it may not be a million dollar idea, but with enough connections (like an iphone app) you could certainly make some good income. Keep up the good work.

Does anyone know what license is used for the stackoverflow code and where/if it's currently available? From reading the article is sounds like Jeff and company are making the software available to the public in some form. I'd really like

I've worked for a major DRAM company and it's a wonder that the parts are reliable at all. The storage cells are being pushed to their limit as they are often the bottleneck in scaling the overall size of the bit structure. Not to mention

Glad to hear you like the idea. My method for reading through HN and others is to scan through items with a certain threshold. Once I get below the "fold" of the page, I start to lower the level so I can compensate for the "decay factor"

One Idea I've had for fixing this problem is to weight the value of a click based on position on the page. The further down on the page, the more weight its gets. Therefore the most popular topic at the top only get marginally incremented

These modules are basically equivalent to the xbee parts. You'd have to pull out the spec sheets to see the differences, which may come down to the MAC layer or software protocals.

The wireless modules in this article are pretty weak sauce (In fact they make me cringe) If you're going to do anything that requires reliable data transfer or data rates higher than a few k, consider the following: http://www.microchip.co

Change the sort order of the "End Date" for listings. Since it's an auction style site, let me see the listing that is "about to end" at the very top, not waaaaay down at the bottom. Looks good!

I think "faster discharge" rates is being noted for their ability to dump large amounts of current very quickly. This is useful for large surges of power. It's not referring to some sort of parasitic leakage.

I've been using the 960.gs for a while now and really find it efficient. At first I was critical of such systems but the ability to reuse css classes is great and it's a nice having a starting point for new site layouts.
