I drink a fairly high amount of black tea (about 1.5L/day) and I had read about this before a bit, but couldn't find any clear answers - what's the risk of developing kidney stones and will I have fair warning signs before pe

Yeah, I drink 1.5L of black tea a day. Around 300mg of caffeine. Can confirm, I am definitely a caffeine addict. In fact, I switched to tea mostly because I was consuming a ridiculous amount of unneeded calories in sugar and cream in energy

Curious how they screwed this one up - did they just have no proper random source? Nothing like modern operating systems use, like disk latency? If you're in the business of doing random numbers, you'd think you'd embed a che

You can definitely use languages that are just as safe, but higher level. You could make that argument with many functional languages like Scala or Clojure, you could even make an argument that even many imperative languages are also that s

I used Facebook for about a year or two - but when I did I made 2 separate accounts, one for friends I was close to and one for family, colleagues, etc. Fake name on the friends one. Is this not a more common way to get around this issue?

Well, I've seen a surprising number of people talk that way on Twitter and Facebook. Maybe they're just talking out their asses, but some of them seem to take it seriously, so it's not exactly a strawman. I've seen peopl

All of the pre-existing ones suffer from this exact problem though in my experience. They leave too much, often almost everything to be decided by the project leaders. Often times this amounts to "don't be racist" and similar

That's all well and good for most things, but something that commonly involves shunning people from your communities I don't think so. You need a higher standard - one which we don't have. Even HR people can be fired and are

I don't think "the answers are out there" so cut and dry. There's many political and social opinions that there isn't a clear resolution on. So unless we have a very good way to solve this concretely and provably I

GitLab is a lot more feature packed than Gitea/Gogs. Gogs is lightweight, good for personal projects, but if you're looking for something to deploy company wide with integrated everything, Gitlab is the way to go.
