What, you mean like creating a transaction where if one component does something then the second component fails, the first one should revert? Again, wrong design. Like I said, it's very difficult to do well. Consider alternate archite

I'm pretty sure the sibling comment is right, though. Just like original Google, they will give you the summaries, then when they will slowly win the battle, they will start product placements galore in the summaries.

You are not wrong, but the source of the problem may not be the domain but poor software design. If the software base is full of gotchas and unintended side-effects then the source of the problem is in unclean separation of concerns and tig

This approach has its benefits: excellent infrastructure, clean cities, well maintained countryside, low crime rate and less pressure to "do, do, do it now!" Not everything is about money. That said, the global economy is about th

For one, snippets is exactly where you don't get good language comparisons. For example, python is AFAIK the lead language to get something done quickly. At least as per AoC leaderboards. It's a horrible language to have in produc

Well, that's a good point. Why? I think one of the reasons is that if you think it's better and see how other users are struggling with all the bs these companies are throwing at them, it's only natural that you would suggest

Well, I think none of it is true, neither meritocracy neither ignoring it. Instead, we have a society of marketing and sales. If you can convince someone you can do it, you get the job (both as an employee or as a contractor or as a firm).

SQS is simple queueing service in AWS. It's ok, guarantees at least one time delivery, but I am not sure how useful it is for large volumes of messages (by this I just mean that we use it for low volume messages and I don't have e

That's an interesting take but I think it's unlikely for two reasons: 1. In any case you view it, it's not trivial, which was the statement in the note. If it were, the effort to publish just for n=4 would be silly, because i

Well, true, we cannot be 100% certain, but if he published the proof to n=4, we can say it's most likely he did not find the general proof.

Emm, what? Why? If you mean two processor words, which I gather from what you are saying, then I think you are already in the space of full memory barriers. In that case, why not just say, ideally it would be 256K words, or whatever?

Indeed. Well, FWIW, the title translated into my native Slavic language would also make no sense with a question mark. What's interesting is that both How... and How does... would translate into the same words but with a dot or a quest

And who decided that? Why not XML? That's backwards reasoning. XML was too complicated, so they decided on a simpler JSON.

We know plants have a diurnal cycle and react to sun/day and some visibly change between night and day. If we say that one of these states is less active, we may decide to call it dormant. Dormant comes from latin dormire, which is sle
