Very weird. They provide a very specific future date for this, and avoided using the term "open source". I can't recall any other company doing this. Most of the time, companies provide a github repository at the same time th

You might think it's comparing apples to oranges but it's not. Go to forums and see what people do with raspberry pi. Lots of them use it as a Linux machine (Pi hole etc). You could say it's the wrong tool for the job, but th

I think they are referring to those mini PCs -- either new ones from Chinese brands with Intel N100 or "refurbished thin clients" from HP or Dell -- that cost ~$150 but are way more powerful than a raspi in terms of performance an

Greedy? Why would you bet your product and customers on another company? If someday Hashicorp suddenly died so that nobody adds new features or fixes bugs, you can't do anything about it because their code isn't "open source&

Most of the official battery life numbers you see from manufacturers are like 18 hours when the reality is less than 8 hours which is just meaningless. The numbers from reviewers using benchmarks like "modern office" might not be

I don't know which kindle you have, but my Scribe is noticably faster than the Oasis 2nd gen from 2017. Almost makes me want to replace the Oasis with the latest Paperwhite.

I mean, a Surface Pro starts at $800 (or closer to $1k for a proper setup) while an iPad $350. The vast majority of iPad sales likely come from the lower end. There is no way to compare their sales number.

Dude, that's not an argument and not how you discuss things. You need to at least put a link to some article that says someone built it, and other pianists agree it can replace both the ACTION and the SOUND of a piano. Oh, it should we

We are not talking about the same kind of piano here. And different artists value different things or just need other features, and the "authenticity" of an upright piano is very likely what they are looking for, which is totally

Judging by the (assumed) sales number of iPad mini, Jobs was not really wrong. And actually iPad mini screen size is around 8 inches (with tiny texts already), 7-in would have been much worse. Well I have said too many useless words here.
