What the point of comparison? Isn't 18 hour battery and Genius Bar part of the "luxury"? Like I say Audi is a luxury car because a Toyota costs less than half as much, and you ask "what about a Toyota with leather seats&

I think you need to be very clear about what your goal is -- just playing with different "real" hardware, or running some small models as experiments, or trying to do semi-serious work with LLMs? How much do you want to spend on h

I assume this is a joke pointing to Google's chat app situation, but regardless here is my serious answer: I don't think the executives need to do anything themselves at a company like Google -- whether it is their (managed) phone

The w3techs number is often quoted, but it has never been validated by anybody else, and its methodology is very questionable if not flat out wrong.

I would put "for Linux" rather than "written in Rust" in the repository description. One is more important than the other. Priorities.

If this didn't happen in the 90s, it's never going to happen. Just to throw something out there: most of the things in the web ecosystem use MIT license, and we have seen both open source communities and commercial companies benef

Why would Apple give up 18 billion dollars (per year) from Google? Privacy? That's just a marketing slogan, they are tracking you across first party apps. And privacy is never worth 18 billion dollars.

The app store page doesn't mention debugging, so I assume it's not there. And probably not "go to definition". Completion quality is also questionable. These are very hard problems, even for a language with strict typing

While this is doable, it is far from an enjoyable experience -- many packages are not available on iSH or have issues, for example. Most people are not going to replace their laptop with these two apps.
