Teaching people that being "rich" is not a goal would help in the progress. The goal is enough: a point when one still yearns, so they can progress, but they don't suffer or live in fear for losing warmth, shelter, food, etc.

Lamb is not only food, it's also clothing, soap components (lanolin), etc. This is my main problem with the opening argument: most animals are multi-use, unlike most plants.

I just went for prosody, though after a few months ejabberd looks nice as well, with built-in turnserver and irc transport. In Prosody, those are external, coturn and biboumi.

I tried Dino, Gajim, Psi, Psi+, Empathy, but I still prefer the UI/UX of Pidgin. It knows all I need at the moment, with the exception of Transport commands.
