That's a good point - I'll mention this to dcurtis, who runs svbtle. Certainly don't want to sucker anyone into liking something they in fact do not!

Absolutely spot on. Hellbanning a real user would probably be worse than not catching fraud in the first place, so must be avoided with utmost care. - Hellbans are made via operator decision - Hellbans are reversible and all customer suppor

That's correct - I'd suggest flagging for immediate attention based on activity bounds beyond the norm (3 declines from different cards for instance) and then hellbanning if appropriate. Obviously we'd never want a situation where a real us

A thief running a scam like this will try 5-10 cards before moving on. Your average customer only owns 2-3 cards. We usually flag a user when when they get 3 declines from 3 different cards - and if it looks suspicious enough at that point,

Did that Mother-as-Martyr bit strike anyone else as strange? She treated it as a given, but call me old-fashioned, I think selflessness is a desirable parental trait.

It sounds like we could learn quite a bit from you ! The one nice thing about our boxes is that it effectively limits the number of sku's during the fulfillment step. Rather than 5 skus per box, we have 1 box SKU. It looks like you guys fu

The reason there is no "miracle cure" is that acne is a symptom of many different imbalances. Sometimes the simplest solutions are best: Adjust your diet. Reduce sugar and carbs. Consider trying gluten free to see if it has an impact. Rule

YC (likely) wouldn't blink an eye at paying travel expenses for a team they're interested in. The cost is insignificant to the potential upside.

For me, it'd be about guest access. Sure, you could give out your codes, and then change them later, but that's a pain (with the Schlage products at least).

Having taken a lock picking course, I can say that one lock is approximately the same security as two - even after 15 minutes of instruction, with the right tools I could unlock most any standard house lock in moments. Home door locks are a

Looks great, but I'm reticent to replace my mortise-style door lock. Maybe future versions will support this type of lock? Other than sizing considerations, I don't see why not.

I like the idea of merging tasks with emails - but if I can make one suggestion: I don't think I'd ever hit an auto-reply button that said "I'll get it done. It's now in my Taskbox ." Unless replies are customizable, this sort of self-serv

Companies are shut down for a variety of reasons, and entrepreneurial success is often equal parts idea, luck, and hard work. Leah has built several popular products with loyal followings - which is more than a lot of us can say.
