They're probably customising the search results somehow; just as the GP I don't see any mention of Google's SPYW when opening your link.

Not sure about the other browsers, but this is mostly a solved issue in Firefox: it has grown clever enough to remember the contents of a text box even after going back, closing the tab (reopen it with ctrl+maj+t), or even quitting Firefox.

Not even a "Don't panic!" on the first page of the guide? ( http://docs.python-guide.org/en/latest/index.html ) I'm disappointed.

Quite a few RFCs published on April 1st are to be considered with somewhat of a grain of salt, cf. RFC 1149 ( http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc1149.txt )

I don't have that problem either with FF or Chrome. If they fixed it between your post and mine, at least $41M gets you reactive web devs. :)

Maybe. But yet, they managed to let thousands of programmers to know that they're hiring. The cow might just be a gimmick (and let's face it, you can't do more hipsterish than the fixed-gear bike), but it's pretty awesome guerrilla marketin

For those of us a bit light on the theoretical CS aspect, is this article ironical? It sounds like quite a small improvement...

Really cool concept, huge kudos for going through and actually making it :) That said, there's a big, big blunder on the UX side: there is absolutely no feedback. The cursor has to change when you hover the clickable elements, it's the ex

I actually got the exact opposite feeling: he was cocky at first, but then realized he was wrong. And even wrote a blog post about it. That's pretty humble. :)
