I'd love for this to do PgSql too. Thanks very much Evan as well for our chats ages ago (Andrew here), was happy to see you release this tool!

In my experience the built-in partitioning support of MySQL (using PARTITION BY RANGE for example) is very good. Inserts no longer drag due to huge indexes, delete's are instant (drop a partition of stale data), and SELECT's can limit their

I've only launched a few products, but I enjoyed sitting on Google Analytics Real Time dashboard. It's available under the regular analytics dashboard as an option. That shows where users are coming from (and how many are on your site right

Great work, always wanted something like this. Good for "dev ops" people like me who would rather focus on the app than server configuration (but still need to do it).

Same here, happy to give money to make a pain point go away so I can focus on the product itself. My only wish was that I could place an easy API layer between Parse and my app, because I would want more fine grained control over how data i

Definitely, I constantly see people (myself included) want Stripe here. I would appreciate more updates though from Stripe about the progress of entering the Australian market. For all I know, they haven't even started talking to anyone yet

I don't agree that its a super hard job and that's why this problem has occurred. Surely the review team should hear the iKamasutra's concerns and realise that the app has been in use for years already, and that the sudden reason to reject

It's worth mentioning the upcoming .Net 5 runtime featuring await/async operators to dramatically simplify async programming, read more at http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ericlippert/archive/2010/10/28/async...

I recently came across SignalR, it's a very well written and simple framework to use. The buzzwords are web sockets, comet, ajax push, etc.

Pathetic. I'm sure the school would not have asked someone if they thought they could walk all over them. There is no way anyone could coerce me to hand something over like that (and I don't even use Facebook much!)

I hate reading attention grabbing, poorly reported articles like this (if this is true). It would be neat if HN attributed karma to domain names's, so that consistently poorly reported stories begin to affect new submissions from the same d

The 70x speed boost isn't a trivial change - it's for JOIN performance. Cluster has "sql nodes" (that you query against) and "data nodes" that house the actual data, which "sql nodes" talk to to actually process the query. Cluster can now t

If I ever get popup boxes on sites (or Windows), it becomes instinct for me to click the X or the button that says 'No', because its in the way of what I was doing and I don't care about whatever it has to say (if I wasn't expecting it).
