Why not just have employee cameras so that they can both verify the workstation set up as well as make sure they’re actually working for the full 8 hours a day? Sounds like a great YC startup idea. They can use machine learning and AI to ca

People are stupid if they think this will fix things. I went to the peninsula looking at houses and the new trend is to add ADUs as part of the house or in the back. You know why? To help the owners pay off their $3M houses they used to be

This is jaw dropping. How is this legal at all? It sounds like a good startup. Do background checks on homeless people, see if they have any living relatives, and if so you can house them in a nursing home and charge the relatives.

Put a very hard filter around the vocal range of sound, hopefully that would be enough to distort the music so that the algorithms can’t identify it.

The goal is to pay people high at the beginning, get them hooked on the pay, and then squeeze them by lowering pay and they have no choice because Amazon is a monopoly on their services. Have people not figured this out yet? That’s how they

Do the children have to pay off the bills of the parent? That doesn’t seem reasonable to me. It sounds like the best thing to do before getting too old is to transfer all your assets out so that if you die you won’t have it robbed by hospit

As a former Uber employee, I assure you they do not become more accurate. It’s all based on funding rounds etc. The stock market is a different beast altogether.

My mother suffers from dementia and I would sign her up in a heartbeat. Worst case is it kills her, and her suffering is over. Best case it cures her and her suffering is over. Dementia is the cruelest disease, more so than others like canc

Composition of the atmosphere and knowing what frequencies of light make it all the way to the ground is different. There’s so much dust in the air that it might reflect different frequencies depending on where you are. That’s why having a

Does the Martian atmosphere filter out certain frequencies of light? And how does it compare against the frequencies that their rover solar panel is sensitive to? Or is their atmosphere thin enough such that UV light gets through? Can they

YouTube is a monopoly and needs to be regulated. Period. End of story. They dominate online video and too many people are dependent on them and because of their monopoly position, they can do whatever they want without accountability. If th

Of course it’s different. You need to know how to make solar panels so that it will work on Mars. It’s different than those you would need for the moon. It would have to work through the dust storms. The equipment would need to be rated dif

How did China know how to make their rover without sending a bunch of probes onto Mars? Did NASA share its data and info with China so that they knew what specs to make the solar panels, etc?

If it’s just pilots and peons in the plane during the test flights, it will only be about saving money. They need to put an executive in every one of the test flights until it is fully certified. I assure you it will be the safest plane you

Nope. You are confidently wrong again. Early diagnosis means new ways of treating cancers like liver and pancreatic. You don’t seem to understand this. Right now there is practically no treatments for either because it’s detected so late. M

Do you think that technology doesn’t improve over time? You are suffering from a fixed mindset, where you think people or technology is as good as it gets now and never improve. You should read up more on growth mindsets. People and technol

We don’t give colonoscopies to 20 years olds because it’s an expensive, invasive test with a low rate of cancer. We don’t give mammograms to under 40 year olds these days because the same and it’s notoriously inaccurate. We give blood gluco

It’s pretty easy. If blood test says “liver cancer positive. Colon cancer negative.” you check the liver for cancer. No need to check the colon for cancer. No need to scan the entire body for lumps.

That’s what scientific studies will produce. They won’t need your particular blood for that. You as an individual only care if you have cancer at the time of the blood test.

Utterly wrong. You are conflating current technology like MRIs and CT scans that only detect lumps, to blood tests that detect CANCER. Yes, if every lump were treated and excised then it would be problematic. But CANCER is different. The on

Why wait until 2023 for a larger study? This is a game changing technology that should be pursued like the COVID vaccine. We should be dumping billions into this across the globe to improve its accuracy and drive costs down.

Again, absolutely absurd. Many cancers have no symptoms until it’s too late. Do you even understand this? At that point the choices for treatment are extremely limited. Even breast cancer needs x-rays to detect lumps, not detect cancer. You
