Great so insurers can go back to dropping/denying people. Why does Trump want US citizens to die because they cannot get health care?

Why do you hate national parks Why do you deny climate change? Why do you support molesting women? Why do you think black people need to be stopped and frisked? Why do you hate gay people? Why do you think all Muslims are bad? Why do you th

I've never felt less American than I do right now. The country that voted for a man who has been recorded stating that he sexually assaults women is not a country in which I want to live.

Yes, let's grab America by the pussy like our president, who admitted to sexually harassing women on video!

Surely you can't be for that. You really want journalists to report in a subjective way rather than an objective one?

The title seems tautological. If the number of energy states of a system are reduced to very few of course the quantum mechanical effects will be more noticible since the "blurred" system that fakes continuity is no longer there t

Surely 1.44 Mbps is enough bandwidth to access Twitter in a timely manner unless that bandwidth is heavily over-subscribed.

You heard it here folks! HN just invented formal methods of verification and fizz testing! ;) (But seriously, I do both of these to test/verify the distributed systems on which I work -- both are great ideas)

I've always had one big question about Lambda. Is it really worth the cost you get for the convienience of it? Is anyone using it in production that can comment?

I had the chance to play around with the Pixel and it is really cool. Honestly I'd probably pick one up if not for the poor, IMO, speaker quality. If you like to talk to your phone Google definitely has the best voice assistant

I guess it depends on how you interpret the message. In my experience (working at Amazon) it does take a couple of years for a college hire to be efficient on their own. It turns out that even in software there are things to learn that a un

Assuming you wanted to work for LinkedIn and Microsoft I'd definitely encourage you to lie about your current salary just in case they were so inclined to look it up and leverage it against you.

Bundles are fine to me. The big thing is that TV contracts just don't fundamentally work for apartment dwellers. I can't name a single TV provider in my area that doesn't make you sign a contract for several years. So if you

How's the build quality though? I was under the impression that Thinkpads are mostly plastic. Honestly, one of the best perks of a MacBook is the machined aluminum body. Does Lenovo have anything like that?

That kinds of seems like you're looking at a different culture of people from your own perspective. Try to look at it from the other point of view rather than writing it off because it is not your "one true way".

I think you might want to read ST3s own website [1] where they refute the self driving car claim as well as some of their methodology for determining where stops should go (hint they asked people). In fact some of the money as part of ST3 f

Why not have both? The density of a train car can be much greater than a car in terms of people carried. Also the last portion of light rail will be completed in 2039 with a large majority of it completed by 2031 [1] [1] https://

What is the point of this comment? It provides nothing to the conversation. Try to be constructive in the future. For instance elaboration on why you like this idea, etc would at least give people something to discuss.
