Yes, I could track my own progress easier this way, going chapter through chapter. Just writing a blog post wouldn't feel as productive. Writing long blog posts is very difficult. But pushing a review of a chapter to GitHub every other day

Sorry, it doesn't work on binary data: node> var buf = require('fs').readFileSync('./tests/data/data-png.png'); node> require('jacob.js').base64.encode(buf) Base64CodecError: Input contains out-of-range characters.

It's because we don't have that much hardware. But you can try to get it running on your own. If you pull my current 'chat' stackvm branch [1], it's the one we used in the 2nd demo. You'd need qemu, node.js and a few node.js libraries. [1]

I am sure you can, there is nothing that would prevent it. We don't use flash to display the content so it should work from iPad. I don't have a mobile or iPad so I can't test it but it should work. We'll test it on these devices later.

No, not deliberately. We're just so used to these terms that even if we use them incorrectly we know what we mean. It's like the speech engineers develop, they know what the other engineers know even if he doesn't say it correctly or fully.

The 100% opensource is actually very motivating. We want to create new libs that everyone else can use, then the same people who use it contribute back and fix bugs for us. It's lovely. And we can also reuse our libs later in more projects.

Sure, since the software is opensource, anyone can set it up and use it for self hosted vms.

To be honest, we haven't looked at RDP yet. We're been building everything on top of VNC. We did not look because we didn't have the necessary libraries written like node-bufferlist (for easy binary protocol parsing) and dnode (for sending
