Does Deno have a standard API for building Rust modules that communicate with JavaScript? With Node, you have the N-API which is C++, which you can use with the Rust wrappers. But, a standard Rust API for native modules would be much nicer

Does this include all the bridges? So the users of the instance can combine other platforms to the same app, such as signal, instagram, twitter, whatsapp, irc, telegram and all that?

If I remember correctly it is a restriction of JVM. That's why Scala also needs a special annotation for TCO.

It wasn't that long ago when manufacturers like Dell and Lenovo had models where you could basically replace almost everything. I guess still models like the T14 allows you to replace RAM, SSD, Wi-Fi card, keyboard, touchpad and even t

To the point number two: even though I love to use PostgreSQL, when I hit the point where I need pgBouncer and its transaction mode, things get quite ugly especially if you've been using a lot of prepared statements. Now you need to cl

I was thinking more of my workstation. If I lose access to free software, I might as well just leave the whole industry and stop using technology. It is kind of important for me I do not have to use closed source blobs or operating systems.

I hope 1.51 brings the new cargo resolver to stable. I was fighting with a problem recently, solved in the new resolver. If we'd think a dependency such as: [target.'cfg(target_os = "macos")'.dependencies] foo

It's kind of weird, but I don't really see so much gain from getting an ARM compared to x86. All I see is closed hardware, locked bootloaders and non-free operating systems in the future. I want to be wrong though...

Does any of these ARM systems work with a mainline kernel, or do they need some old custom kernel with binary blobs?

Maybe Apple does a favor for us and releases docs for their hardware, so it would be easier to write drivers for the open source operating systems. That would be the best news for 2021.

Next thing: run FreeBSD 13 natively on M1. It would be really nice, because even on this X230 this OS is really damn fast and snappy. Wayland and sway are super nice.

I'm currently evaluating pfSense, mostly due to it supporting WireGuard in the kernel level and having a good adblocker plugin. I run the router in a lab setting, so now it's the time to still change the os if needed. But, to what
